I lucked out a few weeks ago and found some very cool vintage jewelry pieces at an antique mall.

The ID bracelet is engraved with “Elks Court 1981” and is stamped “nickel silver” which is a metal alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc.

The link bracelet reminds me of chain maille and begs to have charms put on it which I will be doing in the future.

The double strand pearl necklace has a beautiful gold metal clasp and can be left long, wrapped twice around the neck for a choker affect, or many times around the wrist for a multi-strand bracelet look.

I couldn’t resist this New Orleans themed charm bracelet. It has various New Orleans landmarks including a French Quarter balcony window, second liner musician, Jackson Monument, Old Absinthe House, Pirates Alley, coffee cup and saucer, and cross.

Old Days                    by J. Pankow

Old days
Good times I remember
Fun days
Filled with ship of pleasure
Drive-in movies
Comic books and blue jeans
Howdy Doody
Baseball cards and birthdays
Please take me back
To the world gone away
Memories
Seem like yesterday

Old days
Good times I remember
Gold days
Days I’ll always treasure
Funny faces
Full of love and laughter
Funny places
Summer nights and streetcars
Take me back
To the world gone away
Our good memories
Seem like yesterday

Old days…
